Last week was the fourteenth anniversary of the start of the tracking of visits to my blog by StatCounter. There have been over 7,500 visits, defining them narrowly as pageviews at least one our apart, not counting my own visits or those of non-humans. I also have not been counting visits for which the page visited cannot be tracked, which has become the most common type of visit. As I have noted before, visitors make themselves less trackable than before, which means that sometimes the city cannot be tracked and seldom any more the words searched, and increasingly even the page viewed. Although StatCounter offers more specific tracking than the blog host, Blogger, the latter tracks far more pageviews. According to StatCounter, there continue to be visits from around the world of both newer and older posts, while the trend of most visitors landing on the blog homepage continues.
